Update regarding services : March – April 2020

We are aware that certain regions are changing their restrictions regarding access and delivery to and around localities in relation to the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

It is business as usual and we are continuing to ship all across Europe at the time of this post. We will not be providing any country specific advice on the website given that the restrictions around Europe are rapidly changing and our written advice may then prove to be incorrect. If you’re not sure what restrictions might apply to your country, please do ask us and we’ll be happy to help you as you place your order.

At present there are no issues to our supply chain and we have a good level of stock in place.

Some of our customers have been stocking up recently, and we have seen a lot of larger orders than usual over the last week. These orders have been delivered successfully. Some areas may see localised delays of +1 day due to short staffing in certain regions. As this is changing all the time we’re unable to know where may be affected.

We will of course share any more specific news as and when we have it, but for now it is business as usual. Whilst we can’t guarantee that there will be no disruption in our service, the signs so far are positive. As we ship from mainland Europe you may wish to order in advance to avoid any disruption. For or now it is all systems normal, but equally we do not wish for you to be without if the situation changes so stocking up may be a prudent measure.

Please note that any returns to us may take many weeks given the situation and we cannot provide refunds for goods until we have received them back for a check.

Please only order if you can currently receive your parcel as normal or via DHL OnDemand’s beneficial delivery options.

Have your order taken straight to a DHL collection point

We often get asked this question – Can the courier take my item directly to a pickup point so I can collect it?

The answer is yes, however you’ll need to read the following advice to be able to take advantage of DHL’s OnDemand service benefit to use their collection services. This benefit is only applicable with the delivery option entitled ‘DHL Next Working Day Aim’ – so please choose that service before checking out if you’d like to collect your order the next working day following dispatch from our warehouse in the Netherlands.

We know that during the week, a lot of us are busy at work, but also want to receive their orders of fresh product quickly and collect it at their own convenience.

The important thing to remember when using this service benefit is not to put your request in too late, otherwise DHL may route your item for local delivery the following working day.

If you want to be able to use this delivery benefit, please ensure that you choose  the DHL Express (Next Working Day Aim) delivery method before you check out. Other delivery services do not offer this benefit.

To have your item taken to a local collection point, your instruction must be provided to DHL the evening before delivery. This is usually around 4pm – 6pm CET on the day of dispatch.

You will need to provide DHL with permission to do this using their OnDemand service  – this is only active when the DHL tracking status is marked ‘shipment picked up’ – use your tracking number we send to you and check it on the DHL tracking page.

Important! If your request to divert the item for collection is given to DHL too late or by the time local delivery has been scheduled, it is likely to be delayed by a further day whilst it is rerouted & sorted to the DHL collection point. DHL may also attempt to delivery it first before taking it back to their depot if this occurs.

You can also change the delivery address and place the item on ‘vacation hold’ if your circumstances change.

Recommended order dates for Xmas delivery:

DHL Express – Thursday 19th December by 13:00 CET
DHL Parcel – Monday 16th December by 13:00 CET
 

Christmas & New Year Opening times:

  • Christmas Eve, Tuesday 24th December – Place your order by 12:00 CET (Early DHL Collection) – Orders received after this early cut off point will be dispatched on Friday 27th December when we re-open.

Please note: No deliveries on Christmas Day & Boxing Day

  • We are open on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday 31st December – please note that the DHL collection is early on this date, therefore an early cut off point of 13:00 CET applies. Orders received after this time will be dispatched on Thursday 2nd January 2019 when we re-open.

Please note: No deliveries on New Years Day.

  • Whilst we endeavour to stay open as long as possible and dispatch on time, please note that around the holiday period shipping transit times & customer service response times may be slightly longer. Therefore if you have an urgent order, please place it a few days earlier than normal & be patient for email responses.

Black Friday & Xmas Shipping Update

We are expecting high levels on online shopping this year as we build up to the festive season. As our shopping habits as consumers occur more and more online, in turn shipping systems & courier networks begin to feel the strain. As such, coupled with winter weather conditions, the likelihood of minor shipping delays increases.

The far majority of our DHL shipments arrive on time, however at this time of year we do see the odd delay. For this reason, and so that you can receive goods when you expect them we recommend that if you have an urgent or time sensitive order you should place your order in good time. We recommend adding +2 extra working days before you wish to receive your goods.
